We believe in the power of creativity — especially music — to bring people together and create meaningful change.
Why The Sound Tree was created?
The Sound Tree grew from a simple idea:
“Could creativity, community, music and social good live in one place?“
We have seen firsthand the wonderful benefits that songwriting, storytelling, and shared creative experience can support people in expressing emotions, building confidence, process difficult moments, and feel part of something bigger.
This is something we have lived experience with.
Through The Sound Tree, we want to create a safe space where people can:
- Grow and belong
- Celebrate creativity in all it’s forms
- Support communities and charities
- Feel inclusive
- Use music and storytelling to support hope, connection and change
The Sound Tree is our way of bringing all these passions together in a meaningful and sustainable way, whilst giving back.
What is the meaning behind The Sound Tree name?
When Laura, our creative director, was considering names (And we had many), we decided on The Sound Tree due to it’s ability to incorporate everything we want this project to stand for.
The tree represents growth, grounding and community. It’s roots symbolising foundation and support. The branches showing that the creativity can reach outwards.
The sound part of the title was considered as we felt it represented the sound of music, people’s stories and voices. The things that can help connect us.
Together, they create a living, growing space where creativity can thrive and people can feel part of something meaningful.
What do we do?
We blend creativity and community-centred services, all designed to support wellbeing, expression, and social impact.
Charity and Community Projects:
Collaborations with charities and community organisations to create songs, stories, or creative outputs that help raise awareness or funds.
We are also working towards other exciting opportunities, but let’s not spoil the surprise just for now!
